Ingraham (Joseph), romancier né à Portland (Maine) en 1809, mort en 1866. Il s'établit à Natchez et publia : The Southwest by a Yankee (1836), puis une série de romans qui se vendirent beaucoup : Lafitte; Captain Kyd; The Dancing Feather, etc. Joseph Ingraham devint ministre de l'Eglise épiscopale et recteur d'une école à Holly Springs et publia en dernier lieu : The Prince of the house of David (1855); The Pillar of fire (1859); The Throne of David. |
